1、什么是宝珠砂？
宝珠砂是一种新近开发的球形人造砂。它以铝矾土为原料，经高温熔融、压缩空气吹气造粒，筛分配制而成。具有近似球形、高耐火度、低热膨胀率等优点。宝珠砂可应用于各种铸造工艺以生产优质铸件。
What is ceramsite?
Ceramsite is one kind of newly developed artificial foundry sand made from bauxite by melting and blowing.It has real round shape, high refractoriness, and lower heat expansion rate.Ceramsite can be used to produce high quality castings by most kinds of foundry processes.
2、宝珠砂的使用范围？
宝珠砂已广泛地使用于各种常见的铸造工艺中，如覆膜砂（壳型）、树脂自硬砂（呋喃或碱酚醛）冷芯盒、热芯盒、消失模等。
What is the application scope of ceramsite?
Ceramsite has been popularly used in foundries of most kinds of foundry technologies,such as resin coated sand,self-harden process（furane or alkaline-phenolic resin），cold box,hot box,and lost foam process.
3、常用宝珠砂有那些型号和规格？洛阳凯林铸材的规格有哪些？
宝珠砂通常以氧化铝含量分成高铝、中铝等不同等级，同时按不同的粒度分布形成很多规格。化学成分及粒度分布可参照下表。

4、常用铸造砂有哪些？铸造用砂如何分类？
常用铸造砂有石英砂（硅砂），镁橄榄石砂，宝珠砂，锆英砂，铬铁砂，日本cerabeads 等。
铸造砂一般分为天然砂和人造砂。

There are two kinds of foundry sand popularly used,natural and artificial.
The commonly used foundry sands are silica sand,chromite sand,olivine,zircon ，ceramsite and cerabeads.
5、覆膜砂的用途是什么，覆膜砂有哪些种类？
覆膜砂可用来铸造铸件尺寸精度高、表面质量好的砂芯（砂型），通常砂芯（砂型需要很高的强度及韧性）
覆膜砂还可以单独用于壳型铸造。
常用覆膜砂有 ：石英砂覆膜砂，宝珠砂覆膜砂，铬铁砂覆膜砂等。

How to classify resin coated sands?
Foundrymen use resin coated sand to produce more complicated cores or moulds to cast components with high accuracy and good finish.Usually the moulds and cores need high strength and flexibility.
Resin coated sand can also applied as ‘SHELL” method.
According to the base sand of resin coated sands,there are silica RCS,ceramsite RCS and zircon RCS,etc..
6、常用铸造用砂的耐火度是多少？
Refractoriness of foundry sand:
Silica sand :1713℃ Ceramsite :≥1800℃
Chromite sand:1900℃ Olivine sand:1700~1800℃
Zircon:2430℃
7、消失模用砂有什么特殊要求？
消失模用宝珠砂需要具有以下特点：
a流动性优异 b耐用性高
c热导率高 d 细粉含量低
e无磁性

Foundry sand used for lost foam process should have these special properties:
a.Excellent flowability.
b.High permanence.
c.High heat conductivity.
d.Lower dust contents.
